International Agreements are in place to address the dangers associated with climate change. Two of the most prolific agreements are the Kyoto Protocol and an agreement made within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, commonly known as The Paris Agreement.
BACKGROUND
The guidelines of the Kyoto protocol, set the basis for the Chicago Climate Exchange (circa 2003).
The stricter requisites and adoption of The Paris Agreement has shifted the focus from voluntary to compliance to carbon neutrality.
The Paris Agreement focuses on reducing all anthropogenic greenhouse gases, and behavioral change or monetary penalty or taxes for non-compliance.
There is now a need for a structured carbon ecosystem where quality, perpetuity and behavioral change are cornerstones. The Strategy-Partners Carbon Neutral EcoSphere with be that system.
